On 8–9 September 2025, the partners of the Teach Peace project gathered in Kauniainen, Finland, to officially launch the initiative within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme. Hosted by Työväen Akatemia, the project coordinator, the meeting brought together representatives from Finland, Poland, Estonia, and Ukraine, marking the beginning of a shared journey dedicated to promoting peace through adult education.
Partners had the opportunity to meet face-to-face, build team spirit, and plan the first stages of project implementation — including the research phase and project management practices. The meeting was held in a warm, constructive atmosphere that emphasized the importance of cooperation between the partners.
In practice, we discussed how to implement the following key tasks:
– Research adult educators and trainers in peace education.
– Develop a basic training programme for adults.
– Create practical tools for trainers and educators to teach peace.
– Disseminate information and promote peace education across Europe.
The meeting in Kauniainen set a strong foundation for cooperation, dialogue, and shared vision among the partners — all united by one goal: to teach peace and build understanding.
The Teach Peace project is being implemented under the Erasmus+ program with the support of the European Union.
